HopeForThem held an excited event that linked the worlds of art and philanthropy in a festive holiday toy drive at the premier pop-up gallery, Gallery 151. The mission of Gallery 151 is to support emerging New York-based artists and provide a platform for their talent to be recognized by the public.

The HopeForThem Foundation had a toy drive on December 17th, 2011 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at Gallery 151, 132 West 18th Street, hosted by Ines Ferre of CNN. The proceeds and toys were for the school children of Carrefour, Haiti..

The diverse crowd enjoyed the inspired cocktails by St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, and artisan wines from Evening Land Vineyards. The  crab cakes and brownies along with the other food were delicious. They were made by Alison Price Becker and Chef Robert Gurvich, soon to open their new restaurant Alison Eighteen.  The crowd enjoyed the music by DJ’s SKY Nellor. and Super Jaimie. There was a live performance by upcoming singer and Hollywood star Kate Nauta; best known for her performance in the movie Transporter 2.

While all those interesting activities doing on, there was live painting by Borbay and Ari Lankin. Exclusive paintings by William Quigley and Jean-Baptiste Frants were auctioned off.. The artists and crowd liked the interesting and diverse work

of the Wonderlost exhibition, curated by Molly Morgan Weiss, Gallery director based on the magical surrealist character that refused to grow up, Peter Pan.

The HopeForThem Foundation is a non-profit organization that delivers aid to disaster-stricken areas around the world. After the catastrophic earthquake that hit Haiti in January of 2010, founder Mike Jean committed his organization to providing relief to his home country. The exhibitions and events at Gallery 151 would not be possible without the generous support and sponsorship of Michael Namer and his company Alfa Development , Chelsea Green at 151 West 21st Street, and Alison Eighteen.
