In our case, though, just because they're clichés doesn't mean they're not true :) Tickets selling out: We can't speak for anyone else on this, but we have a firm cap of 275 guests and we have sold out each of the last 5 years. Prices going up: This is true for almost everyone...most NYE parties in the city now cost over $125! Meanwhile, we just raised our prices by a whopping $5, so it's true for us, too. Open bar: While it's true that many other parties also have open bar, getting drinks from their open bar is another story. We pride ourselves on the very novel concept of actually having bartenders behind the bar! No hassle: We all know people who have attended other New Year's Eve parties that claimed there would be "no hassle", and those people always seemed to wind up with good stories about how they couldn't get in, check their coats, or get drinks. Our guests have good stories, too, they just couldn't remember them because our open bar is actually open :) Celebrity hosts: Did we mention that David Shapiro will be there? :) On another note, the one thing that other parties don't mention in their marketing is the clientele.
