To meet, mingle, date and deal in the NY/Hamptons Social Scene
It is always nice to revisit the legendary Orensanz especially for a worthy cause Annual IVolunteer Gala on 1-26-2012.
The guests were able to enjoy the generous diverse food stations carefully presented, passed deluxe hors d'oeuvres, top-shelf liquor, live and silent auctions in neat and comfortable cabaret setting. There were diverse items and some unusual items auctioned off like Autographed photographers of Justin Beiber, Gwen Stefani and No Doubt Autographed electric guitar and others. Hats to the professional staff who were attentive with their efforts. It was nice to see NY City Public Advocate, Mr. Bill De Blasio and Manhattan Borough President, Mr Scott Stringer for their presence.
The gala benefited iVolunteer NY's continuing effort to provide Holocaust survivor companionship, matching up local young people with survivors in need of assistance and support. Funds went to the NY volunteer group's new SurvivorStories.org project, which focuses on collecting and sharing footage of Holocaust survivors and their stories. Beyond the organization's local efforts, the iVolunteer Gala raised money to provide companionship and care to survivors throughout the country.
The iVolunteerNY organization with this event and their other efforts will make a difference in the life of a Holocaust survivor.
