The Winter Party 2011 to benefit anti-poverty charity 'Rock & Wrap it Up'- December 18,2011

More than 350 guests attended the 1st annual Winter Party on December 18,2011 benefiting Rock and Wrap It Up at the home of Ed Bennett.

The diverse crowd enjoyed the featured desserts by Bauli and Venieros Bakery, drinks provided by Faustini Wines, Belvedere, Bulldog Gin, Drink Code Blue and Peroni and also make-up provided by NYX cosmetics..

There were live performances were presented by California and Joanne Borgella from "American Idol Season 7.The event was hosted by former Viacom COO Ed Bennett & VH1 Founder, movie producer Andrea Chung, philanthropist John Kluge, entrepreneurs Douglas Dillon Brandon and Randolph K. Adler, Jr., CNBC anchor Seema Mody, to name a few.

Founder Syd Mandelbaum, Rock and Wrap It Up!, explained to the guests on what the charity needed and hoped to do. He maintained how fortunate our charity was to be spotlighted at the NY Networking holiday party." There were so many attendees came to me after I spoke and said they know people in the hotel industry, colleges, music industry and film industry."

Now they will ask, ""What do you do with your food that is prepared but not served?, What do you do with your college dorm assets? Did you know they could go to the poor through Rock and Wrap it Up!?"" Syd Mandelbaum CEO and Founder, was glad to see that we inspired many last night who wanted to help our think tank reduce hunger and poverty.

Using greening tactics, they recover food and other assets to agencies fighting poverty, increasing their operating budgets. This allows the agencies to hire more services such as tutors, social workers, job placement counselors and mental health counselors to attack the root cause of poverty.

Their work supports over 43,000 agencies in North America.

They have partnerships include 150 music bands, 60 Professional Sports Franchises including the entire National Hockey league, Colleges like Columbia, UCLA, Univ. of Florida, Hotel chains including Marriott, Grand Hyatt, Sheraton, Film and television producers NBC/Universal and HBO. They wrote and helped pass the Federal Food Donation Act which encourages all federal buildings to feed the poor and not put food into land fill.
